Drop-In Care

Flexible Drop-In Child Care

The Learning Garden East (corner of Harris Hill and Wehrle) offers a unique drop-in child care program.

Most centers only offer traditional programs that allow you to set specific days your child will attend. While we provide this type of program as well, we also offer a more flexible alternative for families that don’t have a set schedule or that don’t need weekly care. This program is geared toward providing a safe, fun home-away from home for your child but…only when you need it!

Drop-in child care program is perfect for families that:

  • Work part time
  • Have irregular schedules
  • Have a family that can provide child care but
    occasionally need a back-up
  • Have a stay-at-home parent but are looking to provide an opportunity for their child to socialize
  • Homeschool but want to introduce their children
to a “school-like” setting on occasion

Here’s what some of our parents are saying!

All 3 of my children have attended this facility since 4-6months old. The teachers have become family and we could speak more highly of all the staff. The director is wonderful and very attentive to both children and the parents.

I have two boys at The Learning Garden West, I have never looked for anywhere else to send them! They both started when they were 4 months old and have been treated like they were family by the staff, director & owner. I’m not going to lie and say everyday was rainbows and unicorns, but any time I have had a problem or concern it has been addressed promptly and seriously by the teachers, director & owner. My kids LOVE going in every morning and that speaks volumes!! I have also felt they have been doing a wonderful job preparing my oldest for Pre-K & Kindergarten, he’s going to hit the ground running in school both academically & socially. Couldn’t imagine sending them anywhere else!

We have had our first child enrolled in The Learning Garden West since 2019, and we love all of the staff! They feel like family to us! When we moved in 2021 and we’re expecting another child, we knew even though we would have to travel farther to take our children to daycare there was no where else we would rather go. Our daughters love it here and we are at ease knowing they are in excellent hands while we are at work! We will welcome our 3rd child in December and feel at ease knowing that our children are well taken care of and excited to go to daycare every day!!

We have been a part of The Learning Garden West for 3 years now and we couldn't imagine sending our child anywhere else! The teachers and staff are so great with the kids (and the parents).
Leaving your child is never easy, but knowing they are in a safe, caring, and educational environment makes all the difference. We are grateful to have found them!

How to Get Started

If you’d like to get started with our drop-in care program, the first step is to complete our enrollment forms.

We’ll need your child’s immunization records, emergency contact forms and a few other pieces of information to prepare for your child’s first visit. Once your paperwork is on file, you can call and schedule your drop-in days as needed. We prefers a week’s advance notice whenever possible however, if you have last minute needs, we’ll try our best to accomodate you.

FAQs

Do I have to commit to sending my child at least one day per week?

No, there are no requirements for our drop-in care program. We’re here when you need us!

How long is paperwork on file valid for?

This depends on the age of your child. For school aged children, once enrolled the forms would be valid unless there is a change in your families address or contact information. For our younger friends, their paperwork would need to be updated when they receive new vaccinations and physicals.
